Quick look: Sixers lost big at home to Warriors.

The Sixers were missing a lot of their team, but still hoped to win. They played against the struggling Golden State Warriors and lost 127-104 at home. Here’s what stood out from another big loss:

Jaden Springer starts the game.
With Joel Embiid, De’Anthony Melton, Nic Batum, Danuel House Jr. , and Marcus Morris Sr. Because Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, and Robert Covington were not able to play in this game, Nurse had to give more playing time to players who don’t usually play as much. One of them, Springer, got to start and had to guard Stephen Curry on defense.

Springer doesn’t play a lot in the NBA, but when he does, he has to do hard things.

Springer stopped Curry from scoring in the first quarter. Curry missed all of his shots. Curry made a shot that was going to give him four points, but Nurse challenged the call and was successful. Now, Curry’s shot only counts as an offensive foul.

Curry only made two points in the first half, and they were both from free throws. He did not try to shoot the ball at all during the second quarter.

A great defense in the first quarter.
Springer was not the only player on the Sixers who played good defense at the beginning of the game. The whole team was working together perfectly and stopped Golden State from scoring.

More Philadelphia 76ers games.
The Warriors only scored 15 points in the first quarter. They made 5 out of 22 shots and 1 out of 7 three-point shots. Golden State didn’t make many good shots because the Sixers’ defense was really strong. Paul Reed did a great job defending the rim by blocking two shots in the period. He helped lead the team’s defense along with Springer and others.

KJ Martin makes things.
Martin was a player who didn’t play much, but Nurse had to depend on him. He played well in the first half of the game for the Sixers. Martin made three shots and scored seven points. He made two baskets near the hoop and a three-point shot from the corner. As trade talks continue and get more intense in the next few hours, it will be interesting to see how much Martin is worth to teams that are trying to get better and have young players.

Tyrese Maxey and the offense had a tough time scoring in the first half.
Even though the Sixers played great defense for the first 24 minutes, they were losing at halftime because their offense wasn’t very effective. Tobias Harris scored the most points for the team in the first half. He made nine points out of nine shots. The team made 19 out of 46 shots, which is 41. 3% They only made two out of 14 three-point shots.

Tyrese Maxey is supposed to keep the team going while Embiid is not playing, but he is having a hard time dealing with the defense when the team tries to use pick-and-roll plays. It is clear that the new All-Star player is really good at scoring goals and is very talented on offense. However, without Embiid playing, he is realizing how hard it is to be the main target of the other team’s defense. Playing with one of the best players in the NBA makes it much easier for a guard like Maxey.

Maxey will have more opportunities to take shots because Embiid is not playing. This means that Maxey should score more points. First, Maxey and the Sixers need to show they can beat the strong defenses they have been facing without Embiid.

Kelly Oubre Jr. is facing more problems.
Oubre hasn’t been playing his best lately. His three-point shots aren’t going in and he’s been having trouble scoring near the basket. Oubre is starting because many players are injured. However, if this team becomes fully healthy again, they need Oubre to play better like he did earlier in the season because he has not been successful in his current role.

The Sixers were in control and won decisively in the third quarter.
The Sixers played really bad in the third quarter of this game. It made it impossible for them to win and was hard to watch. The Warriors started playing very well on one side of the court. Andrew Wiggins, especially, was shooting and scoring a lot of points against the Sixers. Warriors rookie Jonathan Kuminga did well against a Sixers team that didn’t play as well together as they did in the first half.

On the other side of the court, the only Sixers player who did anything significant was Martin. He scored another three-point shot and used his agility to create a few opportunities to score near the basket. Maxey had a hard time, Oubre didn’t do well at the end, Korkmaz didn’t play well, Beverley’s tricks didn’t work, and the whole team did really bad because of it.

In total, the Sixers scored 23 points and their opponent scored 43 points in the third quarter, making the Sixers lose by 20 points. It was a tough time for them and showed the problems they had without Embiid and other players who were not able to play.

The big problem that everyone is ignoring.
the next few hours in order to make a big move before the deadline.
