Springfield woman achieves her dream of becoming a Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader.
Springfield, Missouri A student from Kickapoo High School in Springfield will become a cheerleader for the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl on Sunday, making her dreams come true.
This season, Hailey Fearing became a cheerleader for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fearing said, “This will be the largest stage you will ever dance and perform on. ” “This is my first year on the team, so it’s amazing to think that I’m finishing my first season at the Super Bowl. ” I’m a rookie, and going to the Super Bowl in my first year feels unbelievable.
She has been preparing for this moment since she was a little girl.
“I feel all the feelings right now,” said Fearing. “I’ve been dancing since I was three and joined a competitive dance team when I was six. ” I have gone through a lot of things.
She has faced a lot of challenges along the way.
Fearing said, “When I was six years old and in kindergarten, I was told I had scoliosis and spondylosis. I had to wear a back brace for a whole year. ” “It was really tough on both my mind and body. “
She says many people have been encouraging her for the game.
“I grew up in Springfield and the community was really supportive and positive,” Fearing said. “I always wanted to be part of the Chiefs. It was a dream I had since I was young, and I worked hard to make it come true. “
Fearing had another problem in college at the University of Arkansas. During COVID-19, she tried out for the cheer team online but didn’t make it. Heartbroken, she began teaching dance at a nearby studio and continued practicing.
