Monstrous: Ford’s SuperVan 4.2 Is Heading To The Australian F1 Grand Prix.
Over the next six weeks, more Ford fans will be able to see the insane SuperVan 4.2 as it travels through some of Australia’s most famous racetracks and thrill-seeking fans. The all-electric van showed up in Australia before the end of last week and was immediately scrutinized at Sydney Motorsport Park. It will make its presentation at this end of the week’s Repco Bathurst 12 Hour prior to finishing showing runs at the Frugal Bathurst 500 Supercars season opener the next end of the week.
Guiding the vehicle across both of these ends of the week will be acclaimed hustling driver Romain Dumas. One month from now, Passage will take the SuperVan 4.2 to the Adelaide Motorsport Celebration running from Walk 15-17 and be driven by a modest bunch of unique visitors.
It will then, at that point, proceed with its powerful excursion the nation over and hit the Albert Park circuit on the Thursday before the Australian Stupendous Prix. It will be on display throughout the weekend as part of the Ford Performance Experience for race fans to see. It will be shown close by the new Colt Surprisingly strong contender and a Horse Mach-E GT.
Ford is on an exciting electrification pathway, and SuperVan 4.2 is a great illustration of what electrified performance can mean,” Ford Australia president and chief executive Andrew Birkic said. “With more stops added to the SuperVan tour in Australia, EV and performance fans around the country will be given an opportunity to see this feat of engineering and the next-level performance it delivers.”
Ford unveiled the new-and-improved SuperVan 4.2 at last year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. It features a trio of electric motors that combine to produce 1,400 hp and thanks to the insane bodywork, produces an impressive 4,400 lbs (1,995 kg) of downforce at 150 mph (242 km/h).
