Linked to the Premier League?
ESPN predicts PSG will lose target to Chelsea.
Recent reports reveal Kylian Mbappé could leave Paris Saint-Germain after the 2023-24 season.
If this is true, then Parisians must find a replacement for their products.
One of the rumored names is Victor Osimhen of Naples.
The Nigerian is a player who could help the capital club replace the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner if he leaves this year.
However, ESPN does not see the 25-year-old returning to Ligue 1.
The team believe Osimhen will head to the Premier League this summer, with Chelsea a likely destination.
“He has a whopping €130 million release clause in his contract and that doesn’t include most destinations,” ESPN’s Sam Tighe writes.
“PSG could look to replace Mbappé with him; otherwise, only high-profile Premier League clubs or those in Saudi Arabia (which he turned down) could find the money.
“Fortunately for Osimhen, his skill set fits almost any league, style or team, so he will probably do well wherever he goes.
But a big-spending move to Chelsea, who have been looking to solve their striker problem for years, seems very likely.
ESPN FC pundit Frank Leboeuf has listed two players he would like to replace Mbappé should he leave his hometown club this year.
The French player sees Brentford’s Osimhen or Ivan Toney as ideal targets for the Ligue 1 giant to pursue.
PSG need to prepare for a potential Mbappé-less squad, but if ESPN is right, they may have to -possibly leave Victor Osimhen off his list.
