The New York Knicks have made some changes and now have a really strong team on paper. They have a lot of good players, including All-Star Jalen Brunson.
Famous director Spike Lee talked about his positive outlook for the current group on TNT’s Inside the NBA before Saturday’s events at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Boston Celtics are playing against the Dallas Mavericks.
Lee said that some of our players are injured, but when they recover, Boston better be ready. We are playing with seven people. We need to become fit and strong. They throw many three-point shots, and we need to defend better.
The Knicks have been doing worse lately. They lost their last four games and five of their last six. In the recent games, Brunson and Donte DiVincenzo tried their best, but the Knicks didn’t have enough strength to compete with some of the best teams in the NBA before the break.
DiVincenzo and Bojan Bogdanovic didn’t play in the last Knicks game, but they will likely be back soon. More worrying is that OG Anunoby, Julius Randle, and Mitchell Robinson have been absent for a long time, and Isaiah Hartenstein has missed the last three games.
This hasn’t really made people think less of the Knicks, who got Alec Burks in a trade with Detroit. Right now, New York is in fourth place and is 10 games behind Boston, who is in first place in the East.
